I had high hopes walking into Godly in Shanghai, especially after hearing it’s been around for over 100 years. With that kind of legacy, I expected something truly special — but sadly, the food just didn’t live up to the reputation. The flavors were flat, and everything I tried felt more like it was going through the motions than delivering a memorable vegetarian experience. It lacked the freshness and depth you’d hope for, especially in a city known for amazing food. Nothing really stood out, and I honestly left feeling more confused than satisfied. Maybe it was an off day, or maybe it’s just not for me, but I can’t say I’d recommend it based on the taste alone.
Ridiculously overpriced and quite bland food. Definitely not worth a visit.
Highly recommended!!
