Kinda pricish but 3 exhibitions were worth it. Particularly the one picturing war of resistance against Japan. Heartbreaking, disturbing and thought-provoking. If you a fan of Liu Qing and Quan Shanshi it’s definitely something for you to explore. Plan at least 1,5 hours for a visit. The ticket also includes 60 yuan that you can exchange for some item in a souvenir shop nearby.
so bad and boring
The West Bund Art Museum is located right by the river and features both permanent and rotating exhibitions. There's always great art to enjoy. Some areas are free, while others require a ticket, but the entrance fee is affordable and well worth it. You can also enjoy a nice river view from the upper level. Getting there is easy; calling a Didi taxi is convenient for both getting there and back.
The West Bund Art Museum, located in Shanghai's Xuhui District, opened in 2019. Situated beside the riverside promenade, the museum boasts beautiful scenery. It offers both free and paid exhibitions. The museum collaborates with the Centre Pompidou in France, exchanging exhibits. In July 2023, I visited the "Portraits in Reflection" exhibition, which brought together over a century of the Centre Pompidou's collection, including paintings, photographs, and installation art.
